Anyone who goes (online) first will get the Yu Yureka Smartphone

Yu has literally taken Xiaomi's step-by-step approach and that also coincides with their product selling channel. Earlier this month, the company made its much anticipated debut. And while the phone is an excellent proposition, the most intriguing bit about Yu Yureka has been their selling strategy.

It doesn't sound right when people are more worried about the manner in which the phones are sold, rather than focusing entirely on the product's worth. But blame it on Xiaomi, who have repelled this flash-sales effect in the country that somehow has caught the fancy of newbie brands.

And that's precisely what Yu has decided to adopt. The company's product listing on Amazon India has categorically highlighted the flash-sales nature of selling Yu Yureka, which will be made available to hordes of consumers on January 13 starting from 2 pm. You can register the phone, and from there on become part of the grind to buy the latest Yu Yureka smartphone. The handset has been priced at Rs 8,999, and this is what makes other brand devices look sheepish.

The newly formed brand and its phone have broken the Micromax clutter by going different, but somehow there's more Xiaomi about Yu than what one believes.

This Yureka phone is sized at 5.5-inch HD display with Corning Glass 3 protection and based CyanogenMod build running over Android 4.4 KitKat version. It comes powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 CPU that is based on the latest 64-bit architecture and offers 4G LTE support for the Indian market.

It comes fitted with a 13MP rear snapper with flash and Sony Exmor sensor and 5MP front camera. There's a 2GB RAM offering extensive support to the octa-core chipset and 16GB expandable storage space up to 32GB. All this and priced at Rs 8,999.

Make sure you're there for the manic Yu Yureka sales on January 13 and begin the New Year with a bang.
