BlackBerry Classic Verizon Launch Expected February 26th

Last year BlackBerry launched two high-end devices. The BlackBerry Passport brought an unconventional form factor with specifications that could rival most flagship smartphones. In November it released the BlackBerry Classic which is more of a throwback to the glory days of the company’s smartphones, the highlight of this smartphone being its trackpad and function key belt. AT&T carries both devices in the country and if a new report is to be believed then Verizon will soon launch the BlackBerry Classic for its customers.
AT&T was actually the first carrier in the country to offer both new BlackBerry smartphones to its customers. BlackBerry also created an exclusive version of the Passport for AT&T which has rounded edges.
Verizon hasn’t officially confirmed so far when it intends on launching the BlackBerry Classic for its customers. Folks at Crackberry have received a tip which pegs the Verizon launch date at February 26th.
The accompanying screenshot shows an internal memo highlighting several features of this BlackBerry smartphone and at the very top it says that on “2/26,” the Classic will be launched across all Verizon channels.

Unfortunately the memo doesn’t provide a price so Verizon customers waiting for this smartphone will have to wait for the company to make an official announcement, only then we’ll find out what this device will cost on the nation’s largest wireless carrier.
