Gmail auto-complete suggests wrong email addresses

Looks like, Gmail users are facing a new bug in its ‘auto-complete’ feature that is reportedly sending e-mails to the wrong contacts. The auto-complete feature has been designed to show frequently emailed contacts in the ‘To’ field. However, it is now seems to be prioritising contacts that are not frequently used.

According to a report by Business Insider, Fred Wilson , a New York City venture capitalist was the first to post about the problem, who received some emails that were not meant for him.

Only some users seem to be facing such a problem. The auto-complete has been working fine for us. Gmail has also acknowledged the issue and promised to fix it soon.

It has sent out another tweet from the official Gmail account revealing it is still working on the fix.
