HTC quietly unveils One E9+ on Chinese website


HTC has quietly listed a new phablet named One E9+ on its website in China. The main USP for the device is its improved display screen, which is the sharpest screen ever used on an HTC phone. No further information has been provided about it price or availability.

The HTC One E9+ sports a  5.5-inch Quad HD display (1440 x 2560 pixel resolution) with a pixel density at 534 ppi. But a report by Engadget points out that the specification sheet on the website states that the display has a 1080p resolution.

The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core 2GHz MediaTek MT6795M chipset. In terms of RAM, the report also says that the specs sheet mentions 2GB while the company website claims it to be 3GB. In terms of memory, it has an internal storage of 16GB and can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card. On the camera front, the official website states that the device sports a 20MP rear camera, while the specification sheet reads a 13MP camera. The One E9+ has a 4MP UltraPixel front facing camera.

The device runs Google’s latest Android Lollipop with the HTC Sense UI on top. In terms of connectivity, the dual-SIM phablet supports both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE network bands along with dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. The One E9+ also sports the company’s trademark BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers too.

The HTC One E9+ includes a 2,800mAh battery and will be available in meteor grey, gold sepia and classic rose gold two-tone colour variants.
