Lava extends Fuel Series with Iris Fuel 10, Iris Fuel 25 smartphones


Lava further extended its Fuel series with the launch of two new smartphones – Iris Fuel 10 and Iris Fuel 25. The main USP for both smartphones is it’s huge battery capacity. The Lava Iris Fuel 10 is priced at Rs 6,541 and the Lava Iris Fuel 25 is available at Rs 5,666.
The Lava Iris Fuel 10 sports 4.5 inch display with 480 x 854 resolution and 217 pixels per inch. It is powered with a 1.3 GHz Mediatek Quad Core Processor paired with 1 GB RAM.
The smartphone has a 5 MP rear auto focus camera with BSI+ sensor and  LED Flash. It has a 2MP front facing camera for clicking selfies. Lava claims that a big USP of the smartphone is the dedicated selfie button on the back cover of the smartphone and voice controlled image capture.
It has internal storage of 8GB and can be further extended up to 32GB. The smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4 which is upgradeable to Android Lollipop 5.0 soon.
On the connectivity front, it supports 3G connectivity, micro USB v2.0, Bluetooth V3.0 and Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n). The Lava Iris Fuel 10 also features a 3,000mAH Li-Polymer battery. Lava says that the advanced Li-Polymer battery is much more secure as compared to Li-Ion batteries in the market. The company promises that the battery offers 14 hours of continuous 3G talk time, 6.5 hours video playback and 60 hours music playback time using earphones.

The Iris Fuel 25 on the other hand sports a 5 inch TFT display and runs on 1.0 GHz dual-core processor. It is paired with a 512MB RAM. In terms of memory, the device has an internal storage of 4GB and can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
It features a 5MP rear camera with a CameraChip sensor and adopts a front facing VGA camera. The device runs on Android KitKat 4.4 and is powered with a 3,000 mAh Li – Polymer battery. Lava claims that it will offer 15 hours continuous talk time while on a 3G network and 45 hours audio playback time.
Both the smartphones comes with Airtel bundle offer of 500 MB of 3G data free per month for two months. This offer is applicable to only prepaid consumers and is valid till June 30.
